Miranda's First Christmas
Miranda had a great first Christmas experience. Her ZsaZsa, Grandpa Joe (Zane's parents), and our good friends Ed and Maxine came to see us! These are a few of her favorite moments.

Three Wonderful Years
Today Zane and I celebrate our third anniversary. We both agree that these three years have been the best of our lives. Our marriage has not been perfect, but we are thankful that God has give us more happy moments than sad, more laughs than fights, more intimacy than distance. Thank you to everyone who has supported our marriage. We are indebted to countless family and friends who have given us counsel and encouragement at crucial moments in our relationship. Our prayer for the next three years of our marriage is that we would continue to grow in love for one another.

Christmas, Middle School Style
Happiness and Cheer
The Christmas season has been busy! We hosted three Christmas parties, and then Zane's family came to see us. But before the festivities could begin, we had to decorate. Miranda did a great job of picking our tree.
This tree, Daddy. That's the perfect one.
Mommy, snuggle with me. It's cold outside.
Comfy, cozy, ready for Christmas
Look at all those presents!

ExerSaucer
Miranda is getting strong and stronger every day. At her 6 month check-up, the doctor said that she is developmentally at the level of a 9 month old. One of the perks of getting stronger is better toys, and Miranda's favorite toy right now is her ExerSaucer. She loves playing in it.
Tickles?
Pretty much since her birth, Zane and I have been tickling Miranda. Or maybe I should say we've been trying to tickle her. For most of her 6 months of life, she has not responded to our little tickles. This was probably a good move on her part because we did not tickle very often. Just recently, she has been responding. The problem is that we are not sure if she is laughing or crying. So, here's a video of some of her tickles. What do you think? Does she like to be tickled or not? Let us know!

Thanksgiving
This year, we headed down south and spent Thanksgiving with my older brother's family, my Mom and Dad, and my sister-in-law's family (who are really good friends of ours too!). Here are some pictures of our trip.
First stop on our trip was Atlanta and my brother's house.
Elanor playing in a tunnel
The girls put Uncle Zane in the tunnel
Miranda got lots of love from her older cousins! (Anna, Elanor and Lucy)
And our car was hijacked! Thankfully, the hijacker's feet couldn't reach the gas pedal.
Next stop was Chattanooga, TN for Thanksgiving Day. My parents met us there.

Anna got a swing dance lesson from Uncle Zane
We played lots and lots of games
Miranda had her first trip to a playground!

Six Months of Miranda Joy
It is hard to believe, but Miranda turned six months old yesterday. She has brought so much joy to our lives, we can't image our family without her! We love her so much. She is growing and doing new things everyday. She has started to army crawl or roll to find toys she wants to play with. She is also enjoying new foods like oatmeal cereal and peas. She can stand while holding onto the edge of the sofa and sit upright by herself. It is amazing to watch her develop right before our eyes.
Here are the most recent pictures we have of her. They were taken during our trip to see my family for Thanksgiving. The dress she is wearing is one that my mom made for me, and I wore when I was a baby.

Solids!
Miranda started eating solid food today. Well, actually, Zane pointed out that it is not really solid. It is more like mushy food. She had some oatmeal for breakfast and for dinner. We taped her eating, but we forgot to take pictures of her with her food. Rookie mistake! Oh well...here are a few of her in her high chair after her meal. She played while Zane and I enjoyed our breakfast. I'll post the video soon!
