Look at ALL that beautiful, curly hair

Today, Miranda and I were grocery shopping when one of our fellow shoppers noticed Miranda and said, "look at all that beautiful, curly hair she has." I looked around to see if there was another baby close by who had lots of curly hair, and then I looked at my watch to make sure it was not yet April 1st. The only thing left to do was say, "thank you." Here's a recent picture so that you too can admire ALL of Miranda's BEAUTIFUL, CURLY HAIR!

Busy Weekend

Friday night, we had a game night for all the middle school girls in our youth group. It was a lot of fun having the girls over for an evening. Poor Miranda did not want to go to bed because she was having so much fun. Zane put her to bed, and she kept pointing at the door and trying to escape!


Then on Saturday, Miranda and I got all dressed up to go to a good friend's baby shower.


Sunday was the first sunny day in a while. We took advantage of the situation to introduce Miranda to bubbles and hang our new bird feeder.

Snuggle Puppy

Zane took this picture a few weeks ago, and it is one of my favorites. Miranda is such a sweet little girl. This picture only captures a taste of that sweetness.

Shrubbery

When we moved into our house, there were a lot of boxwoods in our front garden. As you can see below, there were only boxwoods in our front garden actually.

All of that changed as of today. We cleared a spot in the middle of the garden for flowers. One of the boxwoods was unhealthy so we removed it completely. Two more were healthy but way too big. We trimmed them back. Here are some updated pictures. In two months, we hope to have another update with some beautiful flowers.

What Happened to My Baby?

I have been asking myself this question A LOT lately. Especially since Miranda has started doing things like wearing shoes...

and brushing her teeth.

Little Friends

These are Miranda's first friends, Hannah and Maggie. They are sisters who live near us and attend our church. Over the past few months, their mom and I have become good friends. This picture is from earlier in the week. The weather was gorgeous and we met at a park. Miranda absolutely loves Hannah and Maggie! Sadly for us, they moved to Atlanta yesterday because their dad has a new job. We will miss them so much but are excited about this new opportunity for their family!

30.5

Miranda had her 9 month check up this morning, and she is 30.5 inches long. She was 22 inches when she was born. It's amazing to me that she has grown almost a full inch for every month since her birth. She weighs 19 pounds and is doing great overall. We are soooo thankful for our healthy, happy little girl!
