Miranda's First Christmas

Miranda had a great first Christmas experience. Her ZsaZsa, Grandpa Joe (Zane's parents), and our good friends Ed and Maxine came to see us! These are a few of her favorite moments.

Three Wonderful Years

Today Zane and I celebrate our third anniversary. We both agree that these three years have been the best of our lives. Our marriage has not been perfect, but we are thankful that God has give us more happy moments than sad, more laughs than fights, more intimacy than distance. Thank you to everyone who has supported our marriage. We are indebted to countless family and friends who have given us counsel and encouragement at crucial moments in our relationship. Our prayer for the next three years of our marriage is that we would continue to grow in love for one another.

Christmas, Middle School Style

We invited all our middle school students to a Christmas party at our house. It was a fabulous party. Here are some highlights.

Rudolph greeted all our guests

So many smiling faces!

What's a party without a wrestling match?

We even watched an amazing Christmas movie

Happiness and Cheer

The Christmas season has been busy! We hosted three Christmas parties, and then Zane's family came to see us. But before the festivities could begin, we had to decorate. Miranda did a great job of picking our tree.

This tree, Daddy. That's the perfect one.

Mommy, snuggle with me. It's cold outside.

Comfy, cozy, ready for Christmas

Look at all those presents!

ExerSaucer

Miranda is getting strong and stronger every day. At her 6 month check-up, the doctor said that she is developmentally at the level of a 9 month old. One of the perks of getting stronger is better toys, and Miranda's favorite toy right now is her ExerSaucer. She loves playing in it.

Tickles?

Pretty much since her birth, Zane and I have been tickling Miranda. Or maybe I should say we've been trying to tickle her. For most of her 6 months of life, she has not responded to our little tickles. This was probably a good move on her part because we did not tickle very often. Just recently, she has been responding. The problem is that we are not sure if she is laughing or crying. So, here's a video of some of her tickles. What do you think? Does she like to be tickled or not? Let us know!

Thanksgiving

This year, we headed down south and spent Thanksgiving with my older brother's family, my Mom and Dad, and my sister-in-law's family (who are really good friends of ours too!). Here are some pictures of our trip.

First stop on our trip was Atlanta and my brother's house.

The girls put Uncle Zane in the tunnel

Miranda got lots of love from her older cousins! (Anna, Elanor and Lucy)

And our car was hijacked! Thankfully, the hijacker's feet couldn't reach the gas pedal.

Next stop was Chattanooga, TN for Thanksgiving Day. My parents met us there.

We played lots and lots of games
