We love the living room in our new house. It is big, open, airy and has a lot of light. One of our favorite parts about the living room is that it has beams on a vaulted ceiling. However, the beams were painted white and the ceiling was painted white as well. The beams did not stand our or catch our attention as much as we liked. So, on Zane's day off this week, we painted the ceiling. Zane wanted to paint something really bold. I was not so sure at first because I did not want a dark color to take away from the natural light in the room. But I gave in, and we painted "smokey blue." We are very pleased with the results. We were encouraged when our friend from church visited us right after we were done and said, "whoa! I love your ceiling." Here are some before and after pictures.
