Happy One Year Anniversary!
Zane and I celebrated our one year anniversary on December 29th! For the special occasion, we went to Lake of the Ozarks for a night. We stayed at a really nice bed and breakfast right on the lake. It was a great time to think back over the last year. It has been a great year. Our first year of marriage was a big adjustment. As we reflected on our anniversary, we realized how much we had grown as a couple and how much more we need to grow. Here's to many more years!
To The Science Center And Beyond!
With all the family in town over Christmas, we went to the Science Center. One of the things we love about St. Louis is all the free things to do here, and the Science Center is one of those things. There are lots of activities for kids and adults. The entry to the Science Center is all about spaceships and air planes.
As you enter the main part of the Science Center, you have to cross a bridge that goes over interstate 64/40. On the bridge, there are speed radars and holes covered by plexiglass where anyone can look down to see the cars passing below. These were big draws for everyone there!
Last but not least, there is a life-size dinosaur in the Science Center. It almost ate us, but we barely escaped!!!

Christmas fun!
We hosted Christmas dinner this year for 22 people! It was a fun time, but as you can imagine - it was crazy. Our oven broke on Christmas Eve, so we had to cook the turkey at Mike and Emily's house (my brother and sister-in-law), but everything turned out great. We also had a lot of help from Mike and Emily in the cooking and set up. Our guests included: my parents, my brother and his family from Raleigh, my brother and his family from St. Louis, and the McCampbell family (good friends' from college and my sister-in-law's family). And we had so much fun.
There were two babies: little Lucy and little Emma
The menu included Turkey, Ham, stuffing, green bean bundles, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash casserole and more!
We re-arranged our basement so that the kids could have a fun place to run around and play in. Besides the two babies, there were six kids. We know them all well, and loved having them run around our home. They are sweet children.
A wrestling match broke out in between dinner and dessert. What fun!
